WebBoogie Nights and Hard 8 are the only two movies that would be dramatically different if PTA made them today. Magnolia would be shorter oc, but BN mocks it's characters in a way that PTA would never do now. There's lots of verve and fun as well, but it isn't as sympathetic at his other work.
