WebJul 21, 2014 · Hey guys, I'm thinking the fan clutch of my 1998 3.4 4Runner is shot. It sounds like it is locking up WAY too much. Very loud, audible fan noise at all times. The motor feels a bit slow to rev as well. It was like this when I purchased the truck, and after finally finishing my suspension/steering overhaul Im moving on to other little things.
