WebGOXLR mini is set to dynamic microphone and for my Rode Procaster to hit adequate levels (sitting 3-4 inches from the mic), it needs to sit around 53-58db. However, I'm getting a rather noticeable level of constant hiss/noise/static. This static remains whether or not I have the XLR cable to the mic even plugged in or not. Webyeah you can plug an amp into the goxlr, the DT 990 250ohm will sound ok on the GoXLR mini as it has its own internal amp but if you like it SUPER loud then youll want an amp. Ithink the amp defininitely makes it sound better. I am using the sound blaster g6. However doing it this way you MUST get a ground loop isolator!
