Grafting plants and trees

The seedling stocks are cut back to the root portion and the scion prepared by cutting off a portion of stem with 2.5cm (1 in) of wood above and below the leaves. Two wedge cuts 2-2.5cm (3/4 1in) long are made in the stock and the scion stem is split with a sharp knife.
