WebbThe upstairs thermostat (ecobee3) stops the cooling cycle whenever it hits 72 degrees. doesn't matter if the downstairs thermostat is on or off. i have home/away setting turned off. It also doesn't matter if it's day or night, or what hte outside temp is. it will always stop when it's 72 degrees. If it is than the problem is beyond my scope and if its off I'd be willing to bet the thermostat unit was busted and suggest getting a new one.
